SEATTLE – Monument Advocacy announced today the addition of Will Lemke to its Seattle Public Affairs team. As Vice President of Public Affairs at Monument Advocacy, Lemke brings over 15 years of experience in strategic communications, media relations, and public affairs to help clients navigate complex regulatory landscapes and build influential narratives.
Known for his expertise in crisis management, government relations, and corporate communication strategy, Will is poised to work with clients to navigate complex communications challenges and enhance reputations.
“Will is a natural fit for our rapidly growing corporate and crisis communications work,” said Monument Advocacy’s CEO John Murray. “We’ve made strategic hires in recent years to grow our team in Seattle including Kati Sills from Microsoft whose extensive experience in corporate communications is highly valued. Many of our clients already know Will and his stellar reputation in both corporate communications and in government roles and I expect he will immediately put wins on the board.”
“I’ve long admired the team at Monument Advocacy and look forward to working with them and the company’s incredible roster of clients,” said Will Lemke. “I plan to leverage all my corporate and public sector experience to help companies and non-profits in both the most challenging times and when they have a great story to tell and need help getting that message out through all the noise.”
Before joining Monument, Will managed corporate and industry communications at Zillow Group, where he drove media relations strategy, built public messaging to advance legislative policy objectives, and led litigation communications for the company. Previously, he served as Director of Communications and Legislative Affairs for the City of Seattle’s social services agency, guiding communications efforts leading up to and during the pandemic. Earlier in his career, Will worked for several Seattle mayors as Press Secretary, managing public relations on key issues such as housing, regulation, and major capital
projects—including the public-private partnership to develop Climate Pledge Arena, now home to the NHL’s Seattle Kraken.
Will has also worked for state and federal officials, including Congressman Rick Larsen, former Washington Public Lands Commissioner Peter Goldmark, and former U.S. Senator Russ Feingold.
