Anne MacDonald Grace Brings Two Decades of Government Service and Global Political Risk Expertise to Monument Advocacy
WASHINGTON – Monument Advocacy announced today that Anne MacDonald Grace has joined the firm as a Principal, bringing to Monument one of the most distinguished records in political risk and crisis advisory services. Anne is a veteran of the White House, Pentagon, and State Department and has guided multinational corporations through some of the most consequential crises of the past decade — from the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russia-Ukraine conflict to U.S. presidential transitions. She will be based in Dallas, where she will begin to develop Monument’s business in Texas, while also working with Monument colleagues in Washington D.C. and Seattle.
Anne has built a track record helping multinational companies anticipate, manage, and publicly position themselves amid political upheaval, regulatory change, and humanitarian crises.
“Anne is a rare find — someone who has been in the room during genuine crises at the highest levels of government and emerged with the instincts and relationships to execute on behalf of our clients,” said John Murray, Monument CEO. “Her ability to navigate political risk, regulatory pressure, and reputational issues is exactly what today’s business environment demands. She joins a public affairs team that is already doing this type of work across the country, and we couldn’t be more excited for Anne to join us.”
Before joining Monument, Anne served as the head of political risk for the world’s largest law firm, and the world’s largest public relations firm. Earlier in her career, she served for more than a decade across the White House, Pentagon, and State Department, and as chief of staff and spokesperson to Mrs. Laura Bush through the launch of the Bush Presidential Center.
“Monument has built a firm that clients trust with their most consequential challenges, and that’s where I want to be,” said Anne MacDonald Grace. “I came to Monument because of the strength of its political operators and communicators, and I’m looking forward to bringing that expertise to my clients. Texas is home, and I’m excited to build here with Monument by leveraging my relationships in Washington, across the country, and around the world.”
