Rich is a seasoned DC veteran and political operative who is well known for his extensive bipartisan contacts throughout the federal government. As the head of Monument’s trade practice, Rich has been involved in every major trade negotiation over the last 20 years and works closely with clients on issues related to market access, intellectual property protection, and export controls. Rich is also well-versed in U.S.-China relations and has had particular success navigating the bilateral relationship for clients in the pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and technology sectors. The former Legislative Director to Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ), Rich has strong ties to the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees and also works closely with Democratic House Leadership and the New Democrat Coalition. A campaign veteran in New Jersey, Wisconsin, and Illinois, he is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
