Rebecca Mehra is a Director of Public Affairs at Monument Advocacy’s Seattle practice, specializing in strategic communications and public affairs. Her background spans local government, nonprofits, campaigns, and professional athletics.

Before joining Monument, she led outreach and communications at Bras for Girls, providing 33,000+ middle school girls in Washington with necessary athletic gear. Previously, she served as Communications Director to the Mayor of Bend, Oregon, managing messaging on key policy issues and crisis communications. She also ran several successful political campaigns.

Rebecca spent 8 years as a professional track and field athlete, where she represented elite running brands at national and international competitions. She is passionate about access to exercise and women’s sports, which she channels into her service on the USA Track and Field Foundation Board, and as a volunteer high school cross country coach.

Rebecca holds a Master’s in Communication and a Bachelor’s in International Relations with Honors from Stanford University.
