As Vice President of government relations, Poorvie brings a unique background to assist Monument’s clients navigate the federal appropriations process and an evolving geopolitical landscape. Prior to joining Monument, Poorvie conducted Congressional outreach on behalf of over 500 businesses and NGOs of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition in support of strong funding for U.S. diplomatic programs and foreign assistance. Previously, while serving in the UN’s Secretariat’s Office of the Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict, she drafted policy recommendations and facilitated strategic engagement with external stakeholders. She has also conducted research on nuclear nonproliferation in South Asia at the Stimson Center.

Poorvie holds a master’s degree in diplomacy and international commerce from the University of Kentucky and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Western Kentucky University where she spent her final semester studying at Vesalius College in Brussels, Belgium while working with the Fulbright Commission.
