Alexa is Vice President of Government Relations at Monument Advocacy serving the Food and Agriculture team on a variety of issues. Alexa worked for Rep. Jim Costa for a near decade focusing primarily on ag and natural resource management, Alexa most recently served as his Senior Legislative Assistant with a portfolio focusing on Agriculture Committee, transportation, trade, homeland security, and supply chain issues related.
Alexa worked as the main lead on multiple task forces throughout the Democratic Caucus to ensure multiple bipartisan, bicameral bills were included in the most recent Farm Bill frameworks. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked in a bipartisan fashion to ensure the continued movement of goods and services, such as ag exports.
Previously, she handled Rep. Costa’s Natural Resources committee work focusing primarily on environmental, energy, forestry and public lands issues and served as a Congressional Fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Program, focusing on Russian influence operations, Central Asian and Caucasus regional politics, and energy security.
Alexa is born and raised from the Central Valley, and holds a Masters in Sustainability Management from American University with concentrations in environmental and energy policy, climate risk assessment, and supply chain management and also holds a dual Bachelors in History and International Relations from Fresno Pacific University.
