Washington, DC – Monument Advocacy, a leading government relations and communications advocacy firm with offices in DC, San Francisco and Seattle announced today that it has promoted seven of its staff. These promotions come at a time when Monument is experiencing record breaking growth and the highest level of client satisfaction.
Monument’s CEO & Founder C. Monument has promoted the following people:
Britt Bepler has been appointed the firm’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), a new position at Monument. Bepler was previously their Director of Operations since 2017, and will continue to report to C. Stewart Verdery, Jr., CEO & Founder of Monument. She has be an integral part of their internal business verticals as they relate to Finance, HR, IT, and other important company decisions and systems.
Joseph Hoefer has been elevated to Vice President, Government Relations and Public Affairs. Since his arrival in 2017, Hoefer has taken on an increasing client work load focusing on technology clients, and manages the firm’s coveted Fellows program with great skill.
Bryan Alphin, Michelle Kirkman, and Melanie Brown have each been upgraded to Director, Government Relations and Public Affairs. These individuals have provided excellent client service during their time at Monument, earning client trust and developing significant policy and communications expertise.
Kevin Stutman has been named Senior Manager, Legislative and Public Affairs. Stutman joined Monument as a Fellow and was hired full-time in June 2018. He continues to perform top-notch work for a range of clients in both the public affairs and lobbying spaces of Monument’s business, including several of the firm’s most high-profile clients.
Bella Merritt has been promoted to Senior Manager, Operations in recognition of her critical role assisting the firm’s internal operations, as well as supporting the CEO and COO’s wide-range of firm responsibilities.
These changes went into effect on July 1, 2019.
