WASHINGTON – Monument Advocacy today announced that David Meschke has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer. In this role, David will work with firm leadership to expand profitability and support the long-term health of the organization – including through strategic acquisitions such as last year’s addition of Horizon Government Affairs – while ensuring Monument continues to provide its clients with best-in-class service.
David brings extensive executive experience and a results-driven approach to financial strategy. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Treliant, LLC (now part of Huron Consulting Group), where he helped guide financial strategy and operations. David also held senior finance roles at Promontory Financial Group and began his career in audit and advisory at KPMG.
“David’s experience and financial acumen make him the ideal executive to help lead Monument Advocacy through this pivotal period of growth and expansion,” said John Murray, CEO of Monument Advocacy. “His appointment as Chief Financial Officer is a landmark hire for our firm, and one that signals our commitment to building world-class leadership, scaling our platform in Washington DC, Washington State, California, Florida, and beyond, and delivering even greater results for our clients in the years ahead.”
“Monument Advocacy is at an incredibly exciting inflection point, and I couldn’t be more energized to join at this moment,” said David Meschke. “The opportunity to help build the financial infrastructure that supports the firm’s expansion — and to do it alongside a team of this caliber — is exactly the kind of challenge I’ve been looking for. I’m here to help us grow, and excited to get started.”

About David Meschke
David Meschke is a seasoned financial executive with more than two decades of experience leading finance functions at top-tier consulting and professional services firms. His career spans strategic financial planning, M&A transaction support, operational efficiency, and executive-level communications — giving him a rare combination of analytical depth and boardroom fluency.
David most recently served as Senior Vice President of Finance at Treliant, LLC, a global consultancy to the financial services industry. In that role, he steered the firm through a period of transformation, strengthening its operational foundation and positioning the business for its next stage of growth, culminating in the July 2025 sale of Treliant to Huron Consulting Group. He played a central role in the transaction itself, managing due diligence, investor communications, and post-merger integration.
Prior to Treliant, David served as Chief Financial Officer of Promontory Financial Group, an IBM Company, where he oversaw a due diligence process spanning more than 1,500 questions across all business functions. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade at KPMG LLP, where he rose to Senior Manager and developed a strong foundation in audit, financial reporting, and client advisory services.
David holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
