Bernie Sanders’ blowout victory in Nevada on Saturday solidified his position as the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination and spurred phone calls from worried clients to their Washington lobbyists. Monument Advocacy sent out a memo to clients on Sunday advising them on what to expect from Sanders, citing his criticism of companies such as Facebook, Wells Fargo and Gap Inc. “Like President Trump, Bernie uses twitter to target businesses and industries,” the memo reads. “While his 9.1 million followers trail the President’s 40 million plus by a significant margin, his tweets are often just as biting and targeted at the C-suite, often by name.”
