MONUMENT POLICY GROUP CONTINUES EXPANDING ADVOCACY TEAM
Washington, D.C. – Monument Policy Group is pleased to announce the addition of Michelle Kirkman as Legislative and Public Affairs Manager and Bryan Alphin as Legislative Manager.
Michelle joins Monument from the Department of Defense, where she provided communications research and analysis to the public affairs office of the U.S. Navy. She also worked in political consulting and public opinion research at Lincoln Park Strategies and provided data-driven strategic advice on messaging, targeting, outreach, and branding to campaigns and organizations across the country. Michelle has a Master of Arts from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, where she focused on public international law and human security, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Middlebury College.
Bryan joins the team after serving nearly five years as the Public Affairs Liaison and Legislative Assistant for the U.S. House Judiciary Committee, where he served as the committee chairman’s liaison to Virginia’s law enforcement community and focused on immigration and criminal justice reform. Bryan previously worked for Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), where he handled the Congressman’s foreign affairs, education, and defense portfolio. Bryan also served as a staff member of Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH). Bryan graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Government.
