MONUMENT CONTINUES WEST COAST EXPANSION; ANNOUNCES OPENING OF SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA OFFICE

Tech Industry operative Gideon Lett added to drive growing footprint

Washington, D.C. – Monument Policy Group announced today that Gideon Lett will lead its new San Francisco Bay Area office, building on the firm’s West Coast expansion and best-in-class advocacy services.

“Opening an office in the Bay Area was a key goal for Monument this year,” said Founder and CEO Stewart Verdery. “Gideon brings a wealth of relationships, skills, and experience to our outstanding team and will help our clients navigate the opportunities and challenges apparent in today’s public policy arena. This announcement is another pillar of our strategy to be the best boutique government relations, strategic communications and public affairs firm for our Bay Area, Seattle and Washington, D.C. clients.”

Lett brings two decades of experience and relationships to the firm’s new Bay Area office where he will work for clients at the intersection of technology and public policy. He most recently served as Vice President of TechNet, a leading tech trade association, where he worked with iconic companies and executives to advance technology-enabled innovation at the federal and state levels. With Lett onboard, Monument is excited to welcome TechNet as one of our esteemed clients.

He also worked in Washington as an issues management consultant with APCO Worldwide and as Director of Political Operations for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) during one of the industry’s most vibrant and dynamic periods. He began his career as a political aide to numerous public officials, including the U.S. House leadership and senior state officials.

“I am excited to join the Monument team and be a part of the firm’s impressive growth,” said Lett, “A physical presence in the area will better serve existing clients, help to nurture new engagement opportunities, and sets Monument apart from other traditional Washington firms. The success of Monument’s Seattle office sets a high bar, and I look forward being a part of this new chapter.”

Monument’s California clients include: Ancestry, Clif Bar, Netflix, One Concern, Phylagen, Twilio, Waymo, Workday and several members of the Reform Government Surveillance coalition including Apple, Dropbox, Facebook, Google, Snap, and Twitter.
