WASHINGTON – Monument Advocacy today announced that Tatyana Bolton will join and lead the firm’s cybersecurity practice as a principal – bringing more than 10 years of federal policy experience. Known as a policy expert and thought leader in the cybersecurity space, Tatyana brings deep issue area expertise to Monument’s wide range of technology and
cybersecurity clients.
“Tatyana’s extraordinary experience – in government, civil society, and in the private sector – will be an invaluable asset for Monument’s clients as we help them achieve their legislative goals,” said Ashley Hoy, Monument’s Managing Partner of Government Relations. “Cybersecurity will continue to be a salient and urgent legislative priority over the next few years. We’re thrilled to have Tatyana on board to ensure our clients can successfully navigate the new administration’s approach and be prepared for the opportunities and challenges ahead.”
Most recently, Tatyana worked as a Senior Security Policy Manager at Google’s Security Center of Excellence, where she ran global and enterprise-wide cybersecurity policy efforts. She also led the Cyber & Emerging Threats policy department at the R Street Institute and served as the Cyber Policy Lead at the Office of Strategy and Policy within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

Tatyana is an accomplished cybersecurity and policy professional with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Throughout her career, Tatyana has been a leading voice in shaping cybersecurity policy at the intersection of technology, government, and national security, with a focus on creating secure, resilient systems for both the public and
private sectors.
She previously held the role of Senior Security Policy Manager at Google’s Security Center of Excellence in Washington, D.C., where she proposed, managed, and helped launch a $60M Cyber Clinics investment. Before joining Google, Tatyana served as the Director of the Cybersecurity & Emerging Threats program at the R Street Institute, where she was
instrumental in driving fundraising efforts, successfully raising 20 percent over target for the program.
Tatyana holds a Master of Foreign Service degree in Security Studies from Georgetown University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Political Science from The Ohio State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
