Katie Grant Drew is a top communications, policy, and political strategist with more than 15 years of experience in a leadership office on Capitol Hill. An expert in strategic communications, public affairs, brand management, and executive communications, Katie advises a wide range of corporate, association, and nonprofit clients on messaging, strategy, and tactics to establish and enhance their brand with policymakers in order to achieve their policy goals.
Prior to joining Monument, Katie served as House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer’s Communications Director and Senior Advisor. In that role, she crafted messaging and communications strategies for House Democrats on major legislation, developed and coordinated major policy initiatives, and provided crisis communications and rapid response advice. Katie oversaw communications for Hoyer’s leadership, district, and political offices and served as his national spokesperson. She also led communications on several successful Congressional campaigns.
Katie earned a B.S. in International Affairs from Georgia Tech and an M.A. in Political Science from American University.
