AOL wrote about Monument’s Mark Bednar’s appearance on ‘Fox & Friends Weekend’ where he weighed in on the brewing political fight between President Donald Trump and California Governor Gavin Newsom over a proposal to expand U.S. offshore oil production.
Mark Bednar, a principal at Monument Advocacy, argued that Newsom’s opposition is “completely nonsensical” given the advancements in the energy sector and the economic realities facing California.
Bednar defended the safety and necessity of Trump’s proposal, asserting that the technology, practices, and procedures for American oil and natural gas companies have “dramatically improved” in recent years, making them safer and more environmentally friendly.
He framed the push for expanded energy production as a triple win for the country, stating that it would “grow our economy, make life more affordable and to strengthen our national security.” Bednar emphasized that American energy dominance helps accomplish all three goals simultaneously.
