Firm Continues Strong Public Affairs Growth
Washington, D.C. – Monument Policy Group announced today that Stacey Hutchinson will join the Monument team where she will focus on serving the firms growing strategic communications and public affairs practice along with working on emerging technology issues. Monument is a boutique advocacy consulting firm with offices in Washington, D.C and Seattle providing government relations, strategic communications and public affairs services to corporations, trade associations and coalitions coast-to-coast.

Hutchinson brings over a decade of experience in political campaigns, federal and state government, tech policy, and strategic communications. Her previous experience gives her a breadth of knowledge across platforms and industries that will complement Monument’s growing communications practice.
Monument CEO Stewart Verdery added, “We are very excited to bring Stacey on to the team. Her experience both on Capitol Hill and in tech policy will add additional capabilities to our roster and allow us to expand our advocacy efforts for both current and future clients.”
Previously, Stacey held senior communications roles on successful congressional and gubernatorial campaigns as well as serving in a similar capacity for the Republican Whip in the House of Representatives. In 2010, she served as press secretary to the governor of Virginia and helped navigate the first year of a new administration building productive relationships with members of the media and crafting a message that resonated with a diverse constituency.
Stacey served as deputy chief of staff to a Representative Erik Paulsen of Minnesota where she oversaw communications and legislative activity.
Stacey joins Monument after most recently serving the Director of Strategic Partnerships at the U.S. Chamber’s Technology Engagement Center where she strategically developed programming and a communications strategy to showcase the benefits of emerging technologies and create a pathway for innovation to thrive.
