Monument News

The Monument Team would not be complete if it was not for our awesome Fellows Program. Former fellows have gone on to work for the Administration, think tanks, Members of Congress, law firms, and more. Our fellows serve an important role as contributors to our work here in the government relations, communications, and public affairs space.

DEGREE PURSUING: Political Science

What got you interested in politics?

I first felt politically moved after watching the acquittal of George Zimmerman on live TV in 2013. This moment altered my perception of justice and impressed upon me the need to create change through politics. My first political theory course at Berkeley re-confirmed my interest and ever since then politics has continued to inspire, aggravate, and interest me.

What is your favorite Monument in Washington D.C.?

The Lincoln Memorial because of the 6:20 am November Project workouts

If you could interview one person (dead or alive) who would it be?

I would interview Rihanna and ask about her overwhelming success while being inclusive, feminist, and uncompromising.

How do you define success?

I enjoy John Wooden’s quote that “Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.”
