MONUMENT PRINCIPAL CHAN PARK JOINS CDT ADVISORY COUNCIL

Park provides insight, expertise to Center for Democracy & Technology

Washington, D.C. – Monument Policy Group and the Center for Democracy and Technology (CDT) recently announced that Chan Park has joined CDT’s Advisory Council. The Advisory Council was created to bring new insight and expertise to CDT’s policy advocacy work. CDT, a 501(c)(3), is a champion of global online civil liberties and human rights, driving policy outcomes that keep the internet open, innovative, and free. Park is eager to contribute to the Center’s policy efforts, and will serve on the Advisory Council in his personal capacity.

“The best policy outcomes happen when all voices engage in an honest, constructive dialogue. The diversity of views and experiences of this stellar group of individuals will help CDT be an even more effective and influential organization. I’m incredibly grateful for their commitment to advancing our mission,” said CDT President & CEO Nuala O’Connor.

Chan joined Monument Policy Group in September of 2017 after eight years on Capitol Hill, where he served as General Counsel for both Senate Judiciary Ranking Member Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and former Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT). Chan’s expertise is incredibly valuable to Monument’s growing technology and privacy practice which includes advocacy and government affairs work on surveillance and encryption issues.
